Played at Donnybrook (04/05/19), this was a classic match. Newbridge Under-15 who the previous week beat Clondalkin were now up against a much more competitive team. With the final score finishing at 32 points each. Newbridge had scored a total of 6 tries with one converted.ย

There was confusion at the final whistle when the referee awarded the game to St. Marys claiming that Newbridge only scored 30 points. However, the referee has since admitted that Newbridge did in fact convert one of their tries.

In the event of the teams finishing level then the first try scoring team wins. The final result is that there is no doubt that Newbridge won on merit and they have now received the Leinster Branch pennant with the medals to follow.
