Well done to the joint Newbridge & Cill Dara RFC's Under 14 Girls team (pictured below) who had a great win against Arklow on Saturday 4th November. Congratulations to all players, mentors and club officials involved from both Newbridge and Cill Dara as well as the visitors from Arklow.

Saturday 14th October, 2017 - Girls Under 14s

Newbridge Under 14 Girls have combined for the season with Cill Dara and on Saturday 14th October 'New Dara' played their first League match against Portlaoise. There was a lot of great play from the newly formed Under 14 Girls Team. They faced a strong well organised Portlaoise side and they did really well and actually came out best in the second half. Portlaoise eventually won by 30pts to 17. The 'New Dara' girls are only just starting to train and play together, so there is better to come. Well Done to all involved in the team.

Thursday 23rd March, 2017 - Newbridge Minis to star at Aviva

Newbridge Under 12 Girls Mini team will be taking part in a match against

Kilkenny on 1st April in the Aviva Stadium at half time during the Leinster

v Wasps ERCCQuarter Final. This is a big honour for our Mini Girls which

is well deserved after their hard work. We wish all the players and their

coaches ​every success and enjoyment. WELL DONE 

Newbridge Under 9s together with coaches, parents and supporters are

also attending the Leinster v Wasps ERCC Quarter Final on 1st April

as part of the One Province initiative. There could be as many as 80 in

the group. Look out for the Black & Yellow in the crowd! The Girls are

sure of good "home town" support!

Saturday 28th October, 2017 - Girls Only Rugby Camp in Rosetown

Newbridge Rugby Club are holding a Girls Only Rugby Camp on Tuesday 31st October and Wednesday 1st November in Rosetown. The camp will be from 10.00am until 2.00pm each day and will cost €25. This camp will be for girls aged 8 to 13 and will cater for all levels of experience. It will be a great opportunity for girls to give rugby "A TRY". 

Saturday 2nd September, 2017 - Girls Rugby

Girls rugby started back on Saturday 2nd September in Rosetown. Newbridge will have Under 10 and Under 12 plus a new Under 14 squad is being developed. This is a great time to get involved with a new sport and a new group of players. Any girls thinking about trying rugby as a team sport should come out. You will be made very welcome by all involved.
Training in Rosetown through September will be on Saturdays at 10.00am and on Wednesdays at 6.30pm. We will also be continuing in Rosetown Girls Tag Rugby on Monday evening at 7.00pm. There will be a Club Open Day on Saturday 9th September. More detail to follow.

Saturday 9th September, 2017 - Girls Rugby

On the morning of the Family Fun Day in Rosetown on 9th September Newbridge Girls team had a great first game of the season, a friendly against Naas. Smiles and fun even in the rain! Training is back on Wednesday evenings at 6.30pm and Saturday morning at 10.00am. All girls are very welcome, especially beginners! Newbridge will be running teams for Under 10, Under 12 and Under 14.

Girls Tag Rugby finished up for 2017 on Monday 11th September after a great summer of fun and enjoyment. Well done to all who took part and especially the organisers.​

Newbridge Under 10 and Under 12 Girls are away to Naas RFC this Saturday 11th November. Please meeti n Naas RFC at 10.00am for 10.30am kick offs.  Also on Saturday 11th November"New Dara" Under 14 Girls are away at Tullow RFC at 9.30am for a 10.30am kick off.

Thursday 31st August, 2017 - Girls Rugby

There is Tag Rugby for girls aged 9 to 14 in Rosetown each Monday evening at 7.00pm. Players should bring boots and gum shields from now on as we are into the rugby season proper. Support has been very good to date so let's build on that.

Saturday 4th November, 2017 - Girls Rugby Update

After the success of the Girls Only Rugby Camp held at Rosetown earlier this week its time to put the training into practice. Newbridge Girls Under 10 and Under 12 play against Athy in Rosetown on Saturday 4th kicking off at 10.30am
Newbridge/Cill Dara (New Dara) Under 14 Girls play a Leinster League match against Arklow RFC also on Saturday. The game is in Cill Dara RFC with a 12.30pm kick off.

Sunday 9th April, 2017 - Girls Under 12 Rugby Blitz Festival at Terenure RFC

On Sunday 9th April Newbridge's Under 12 Girls competed in a Rugby Blitz Festival at Terenure RFC. Another memorable occasion for these players which they all enjoying, whilst also playing some great rugby. Below are photographs of the Under 12 Girls at Terenure.

Saturday 30th September, 2017 - Girls Rugby

On Saturday 30th SeptemberNewbridge's Under 10 and Under 12 Girls travelled to Naas - see photographs below. Five Newbridge girls were playing their first rugby match and they did performed brilliantly.
Training continues every Wednesday evening in Rosetown from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. Next up for the Newbridge Girls (U10 & U12) is Athy away next Saturday 7th October at 10.00am.​
