May 12: Season Finishes With Another Cup. Denied a place in the Anderson Cup final by eventual winners Mullingar, Newbridge 3XV were in no mood for accepting 2nd place on Saturday evening when they took on Portlaoise in the Spiers Cup Final at Portlaoise RFC. At the end of a full blooded encounter, Newbridge were crowned Spiers Cup winners with a 17-9 win. Hearty congratulations go to Paschal and the lads for their efforts all season. Not sure if a match report will follow but our roving E&R bard does a pretty good match report in this weeks E&R - along with a good recap of the NRFC Dinner Dance last Friday night (especially big thanks to Fiona and Val for getting the dinner dance organised - feedback I've heard was it was the best yet) . We really are ending the season with a bang, 'cos to wind up E&R for this season it's a double bill - go to Eggs&Rashers for more.

NRFC 2007/08 Season Slideshow Review: Originally supposed to be shown at Friday's Dinner Dance but due to some technical gremlins, it was unable to be run on the night. Webmaster has no respect for gremlins however and his good work will not be denied to his adoring public, so I've placed the slideshow on Youtube in 4 chapters, where you can now view below. Webmaster can also burn these onto DVDs for viewing on laptops and home DVD players, so contact me if you'd like a copy.
